Why jurisdiction matters
A Woodstock mailing address does not always mean the City of Woodstock issues your permits. Much of the Towne Lake area and many other Woodstock addresses are in unincorporated Cherokee County, which has its own review process, and HOA architectural review is common in planned communities.
